Seventy Earth system educators and scientists met to review ESSE program progress during the past year, sharing ideas, forming partnerships and planning for the future. The Earth system themes of the International Polar Year and polar processes were woven throughout the meeting via science talks from local experts. Participants also engaged is a series of mini skills workshops relating to ESS. The meeting concluded with an Earth system field trip to Denali National Park.
